October 2018 Reading Wrap-up

Past Month’s Reading

I finished two books on the first of this month and then didn’t finish a third one until the fifteenth, so it’s been a bit of a weird month. Still, I ended up getting through 9 books, which I think is a personal best this year. Some of them were quite short, but I am learning not to use length of a book as an indicator of whether it “counts”. Every book counts. Here’s what I reviewed and read:] * These 3 books were produced by Indigenous Australian students in conjunction with appointed mentors and the Indigneous Literacy Foundation. I chose not to rate or review them because I didn’t think it was quite fair to turn a critical eye on them.

Currently Reading:

Ebook: The Confectioner’s Guild by Claire Luana. I’ve got to be honest, I’m making very slow progress with this one. I love a lot of the ideas but I’m just not loving the book for some reason. Audio book: All Our Yesterdays by Cristin Terrill. I’m not very far into this yet, but it’s been on my GoodReads TBR for three years so it’s good to be finally starting it. And it is intriguing so far.

Planning to read next:

Circus Hearts: All Aces by Ellie Marney comes out today, so I expect I’ll be getting right onto that to see how the series winds up. What are you reading? 🙂
