I haven’t done a book tag in forever! I’ve had a bunch of links to various ones saved in a draft post for months, but have never got around to doing any of them. However, this week I was tagged by My Booky Life to do the This or That book tag, which was This tag was originally created by Ayunda @ Tea and Paperbacks and has been floating around for quite a while. So without further ado:
The rules:
- Mention the creator of the tag
- Thank the blogger who tagged you!
- Choose one of the options, you don’t have to tell the reasons why you chose that but you can also do them if you want to.
- Tag 10 other people to do this tag to spread the love!
Reading on the couch or in bed?
On the couch, preferably! My bed frame is really uncomfortable to lean against, and I fall asleep if I lie down to read.
Male main character or female main character?
I tend to gravitate more towards female, though I don’t actively prefer one over the other.
Sweet snacks or savory while reading?
Haha, neither! The sort of unconscious snacking done while reading is exactly the sort that I
Trilogies or quartets?
Trilogies. The quartets I’ve read this year have been disappointing because they’ve ended up dragging out too long.
First person point of view or third person point of view?
Third person is definitely preferable but first person can be okay when done well.
Reading at night or in the morning?
More so in the morning. I read on the bus to and from work as well as on my lunch break. Like with the reading in bed, I often end up falling asleep if I try to read after a long day.
Libraries or bookstores?
Libraries! I’m not a re-reader, so as much as well-stocked book shelves are nice, if I buy a book I generally read it once and then it just gathers dust.
Books that make you laugh or make you cry?
Both! Books that get any kind of emotional response are good.
Black book covers or white book covers?
Erm… this is a strange question. I guess I like those black ones with one defining symbol in the centre? But book covers come in all sorts of colours!
Character driven or plot driven stories?
I actually can’t say one or the other, here. I need a good combination of both, though I would err on the side of character-driven, I guess.
That’s all the questions! Anyone who has been around here long enough knows that I generally don’t tag people, but feel free to steal if you are so inclined. 🙂
