This week in writing
I am writing this post on Friday and scheduling it, as I’m going to be away all weekend. As of 12pm on June 10, I have written 10k in the last 10 days, and I’m feeling very good about that. My laptop is playing up, but I have made up for this by getting to work super-early and doing a 30 minute writing spring in Google Documents before clocking on.
My current total for Worlds Apart is 42600 words (approximately). I have next week off work and my aim is to reach 50k, then take stock. I’ve been writing out of sequence a bit, so I want to put everything in order and work out where the gaps are. Then I’ll probably set up a new Writeometer project to reach the next stage.
I also need to do some work on my map.
This week in reading
I have a whole bunch of books to read from the library. I plan to clean my house on my week off, but it will be interspersed with a lot of reading.
I also plan to spend at least an hour a day reading Amelia Browne‘s manuscript, which I am beta reading.
This week in blogging
I had intended to do another book tag post this week, but sadly, didn’t get any up.
I also had less time for visiting blogs, as I was getting ready for my weekend away, so that’s a down this week.
This week in health and fitness
I returned to swing dance class this week! I’d forgotten how much fun it is and how much of a workout it can be! I rack up a couple thousand steps on my FitBit during that hour alone.
While I’ve been reasonably active this week, I was not so good at keeping track of what I was eating, and I know I indulged a fair bit. I’m hoping to get that back on track after my trip away.
Other highlights this week
Providing nothing goes terribly wrong and I end up with a broken leg or something, by the time this post goes live, I will have hopefully learned how to ski! I’m spending my weekend at the slopes in Thredbo, and have my fingers crossed I will not end up with any injuries!
That’s all for this week. See you soon!
I hope you enjoyed your trip and did learn to ski :-)Swing dance does sound like a lot of fun. Have a great week.
