The Inaugural keysandopenmind Teaser Tuesday

The reason I don’t have a particularly rigorous blogging schedule is because I simply do not have time for writing many posts in a week. It’s time consuming. I tend to write a lot. Usually when I should be doing uni work or otherwise working on more important projects.  But I found this meme, and it’s pretty quick and easy, so I figured I would join in.

Teaser Tuesday is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of A Daily Rhythm. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:

  • Grab your current read
  • Open to a random page
  • Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
  • BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
  • Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

dustgirlcoversmallI’m currently reading Dust Girl by Sarah Zettell (amongst other things; I happened to be able to reach this one without getting up). Here’s the teaser, from page 34:

The clock on the mantel said it was only just going on eleven. But cooking us up lunch would mean I could think about something besides the storm and Mama being gone.”

Join in by adding your link over at MizB’s post.

I’ll see you all tomorrow, all being well.

It’s pretty good! It’s set in the Dust Bowl in the 1930s, but there are also fairies involved. 🙂

For some reason, I was able to load your page once, and now I’m getting error messages, but i wanted to say that cover looks adorable! I am totally reading that book when it comes out.

It’s a bit sad, isn’t it? I would definitely want to know more. Reading your comment about there being fairies involved has me even more curious.

Talk to me! :)
